Master programs based on the experience of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be introduced at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Turkmenistan.
At present, only programs for short-term training courses for civil servants are implemented at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Turkmenistan. According to the Turkmen delegation, having studied the experience of the Kazakhstan Academy of Public Administration, they plan to introduce a graduate program for civil servants in the autumn of 2019.
Rector of the Academy of Public Administration Fatima Zhakypova notes:
“Today, the development of modern public administration is characterized by complexity and the need to adapt to dynamically changing global trends. Global and local challenges that impose high demands on civil servants and require joint efforts. The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, being an innovative platform for the dissemination of knowledge, makes a significant contribution to the professionalization of the state apparatus not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the countries of Central Asia. ”
This week ended with practical training on the development of professional educational programs in the field of public administration for the staff of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Turkmenistan.
The training was organized with the assistance of the EU Project to support the capacity building of civil servants in Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen delegation studied the experience of the Academy in developing the design and content of educational programs, syllabuses, curricula for courses and modules of master’s programs for five days in a format of strategic sessions, interactive discussions and practical cases.
Taking into account the need for high-quality and fast mastering of knowledge, the method of conducting classes was developed on the principle of mentoring, the leading teachers of the Academy were assigned to each of the students.
As part of its visit to Astana, the Turkmen delegation visited the National Center for Personnel Management of the Civil Service, the project office Astana-Adaldyk Alany.
During their stay at the Academy, guests from Turkmenistan learned the Kazakhstan anti-corruption strategy, new trends in the professionalization of the state apparatus, prevention of corruption, changes in the civil service, as well as innovations in the recruiting market, strategic management, modern HR technologies used in course of study.
There was a public presentation of the developed training programs following the completion of the training.
Representatives of the Turkmen delegation thanked the team of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for their reception, noting the high efficiency and practical benefits of the training program.
