In the period from 25th to 27th September, 2017 in Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is held an upgrading qualification seminar for ethics commissioners with the participation of an expert from Latvia Strelchenok Yaroslav.
Civil Servants of the Constitutional Council, the Presidential Archives, the Office of the President, the Accounts Committee, the Civil Service and Anti-Corruption Agency and other central and local state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan participate in the seminar.
Participants will acquire the professional competencies necessary for organizing ethical work in state bodies during this seminar. Listeners will receive presentation and explanation of the need for anti-corruption policy of any state, on international requirements in the field of preventing corruption and their implementation in the national anti-corruption policy, on existing national anti-corruption systems, standards of professional conduct, as well as on state asset declaration systems.
Strelchenok Jaroslav is an international expert, consultant to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). From 2011 to 2016 he worked as head of the Bureau for the Prevention and Combating of Corruption in Latvia (KNAB). Participated as a member of the group of international experts from the Council of Europe in the project “Strengthening measures to prevent and counteract corruption in the Kyrgyz Republic”. Yaroslav Strelchonok is the author of the book “Prohibitions and restrictions for civil servants in schemes”
Employees of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption Affairs, as well as employees of the Research Center for the Study of Anti-Corruption Activities of the Academy will talk about Kazakhstan’s experience of ethical regulation.
At the end of the course, the participants will be awarded certificates.
