A two-day seminar-training for librarians of the Academy branches on the theme “Integration of Academy’s Libraries” is currently taking place at the Information Resource Center.
This seminar covers acquaintance with the work of the Information Resource Center, theoretical and practical aspects of library activities. The purpose of this event is to familiarize with the work of the center, to build a unified process of interaction between the branches to ensure access to information funds.
The information resource center has in its structure 16 branches located in the regional centers of Kazakhstan.
In the framework of the seminar, issues of literature procurement procedures, systematization of accounting, scientific and technical processing of the library fund, as well as the organization of open access and subsidiary book collections are studied. Each participant of the seminar can get the necessary information on electronic media, ask all interested questions and see in practice the work of the electronic catalog.
A worthy addition to the seminar was a meeting with Kazakh designer Aida Kaumenova, she elaborated on the business style and image of the leaders, as well as many useful and interesting things at the meeting with statesman Karibzhanov Zhanybek Salimovich.
The seminar received a good response among the branch workers, united regional librarians and set goals and objectives for future cooperation, development of the information base.
