Academy of Public Administration is represented at 11th Pan-European Conference on International Relations

Aliya Tskhay, a Lecturer at Institute of Diplomacy has participated in 11th Pan-European Conference on International Relations, organized by European International Studies Association and Institut Barcelona D’Estudis Internacionals on 12-16 September 2017.

The conference theme this year was “The Politics of International Studies in an Age of Crises.” Dr. Tskhay has presented her paper on the influence of crises on the development of Eurasian integration in Kazakhstan.

This paper was part of the panel on understanding and framing of crisis in the post-Soviet space, which also included the researchers from University of Glasgow and Higher School of Economics Saint-Petersburg.

This panel session is the first stage of a collaborative research project to be continued in 2018 with a subsequent publication of the results of the research in a special edition of an International Relations journal.

This conference is organized annually in different universities across Europe and brings together experts in International Relations from Europe and the world. This year the conference in Barcelona was attended by 1334 participants from 58 countries.

All in all there were 366 panels, round tables and plenaries conducted. This event serves also as forum for exchange of opinions, experiences and contemporary ideas and methods of teaching International Relations.
