Today a delegation from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation visited the Academy. Rector of the Academy Yerlan Abil, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Research and International Partnership Aigul Kosherbayeva and head of the Center for Applied Research and International Partnership Anar Yessengeldina met with the Regional Director of the Foundation in Kazakhstan/Uzbekistan Christoph More and the Head of the Foundation’s Representative Office in Nur-Sultan Zauresh Shutova.
After getting acquainted with the management of the foundation and the educational institution, they discussed the prospects for cooperation, which are of mutual interest.
Friedrich Ebert Foundation Kazakhstan is part of the regional project FES Central Asia that strives to promote values of social democracy in the region.
The objectives of the Foundation are: political and public education for familiarizing with democratic positions and ideas about values, support of national and international socio-political dialogue, promotion of mutual understanding between peoples of different countries, support of socially active students and young scientists in Germany and abroad.
During the meeting, Christophe More gave to the rector of the Academy one of the books published in recent years as a present. The rector of the academy Yerlan Abil invited a representative of the German foundation as a guest speaker and expressed confidence in further cooperation. Thus, the international cooperation of the Academy was supplemented by one more partner.
