The International Research Conference “State of the Future: New Technologies and Public Administration” was held at the Academy.
The purpose of the conference was to discuss current issues of public administration, summarize the positive experience of modern public management, as well as consider future scenarios of world development in the conditions of digitalization and global challenges.
The conference was opened with the welcoming speech of the Academy Rector Professor Fatima Zhakypova. Then Joseph Tam, PhD and Daniel Nelson, Head of International Programs at Maxwell School at Syracuse University (USA), Askar Nauryzbayev, a member of the Alumni Association of the National Graduate School of Public Administration, expressed their wishes to the conference participants. The plenary session was moderated by Baurzhan Bokayev, NSPP Director.
In the course of the first panel session of the conference “Public Administration and Main Trends of Digitalization”, which was conducted in English by Nurlan Nuraliev, PhD, Associate Professor of NSPP, the following reports were made: “On Index for Digitization and Relationships to Environmental Protection. Discussion in the Context of Kazakhstan” by Professor of Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania) Mantas Landauskas,”Smart City. City Fire Service” by the NSPP student and the captain of civil defense Abylaikhan Kenzhegulov, “Space State as a State of the Future: Possible Formations” by M.S. Narikbayev KazGUU, Doctor of Laws Sergey Udartsev, “Managing the professional development of civil servants from the standpoint of a competence-based approach” by Galina Gryzunova, Associate Professor of the Academy’s East-Kazakhstan regional branch, “Digital transformation: reshaping public authorities towards innovative civil service of Kazakhstan (case study of remuneration by results project)” by Aigerim Amirova, the doctoral student of NSPP.
The moderator of the final panel session of the forum “Modern Aspects of Public Administration and Anti-Corruption Policy” was Rymkul Ismailova, NSPP Professor, Doctor of Economics . There were also made reports by master students on topical issues of public administration.
At the end of the panel sessions, the speakers of the conference answered a number of questions from participants and guests of the event.
