Village akims upgrade their qualifications at the Academy’s Almaty branch

The Academy branch in Almaty is currently holding the seminar on “Transformation of the system of local self-government for the development of the region, the level 4 budget”. The purpose of the training is to strengthen the potential of the corps of akims of villages, towns and rural districts to solve modern local self-government problems.
Within the framework of the seminar the Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption Alik Shpekbayev and the Rector of the Academy Fatima Zhakypova met with 55 akims of rural districts of Almaty region.
Alik Shpekbayev held a guest lecture on the topic “From the professional state apparatus to the innovative one”, in which he considered the modernization of the institute of the “A” corps, the new wage system based on a factor-point scale and bonuses, optimization of subordinate organizations, optimization of HR-processes, digitalization of public services and anti-corruption policies especially in terms of prevention.
At the end of the training the akims will have to develop practice-oriented projects for the solution of local problems.
It is worth to note that as of today 242 akims are undergoing training in 5 Academy’s branches, by the end of this year more than 800 akims will be trained. The program is being implemented on the initiative of the Academy with the support of regional akimats.
