During the first meeting with the Director General of Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy H.E Mr. Nikolay Mladenov, both sides discussed the issues of joint research in diplomacy and public administration, exchange of teaching staff, and organization of internships for students, exchange of best practices in the training of civil servants.
It was offered to send researchers from Kazakhstan conducting research on the Arab states of the Persian Gulf to Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, whereas researchers from AGDA interested in Central Asian countries will be directed to Kazakhstan.
Earlier, in January 2023, during the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan to the UAE, a memorandum on cooperation was signed between the two educational organizations.
“In a meeting with the Executive President of Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, H.E Dr. Ali Bin Sebaa Al Marri, we agreed upon step-by-step launch of a joint program for master’s degree “Public Administration”, “Public Policy” programs; organization of academic exchange programs between students and teaching staff, the conduct of joint research, as well as organization of internships to enhance the qualifications of civil servants. I express my gratitude to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Madiyar Menlibekov, for his support during the working visit,” said Mr. Yerlan Abil.
According to the Rector, Mohammed Bin Rashid School expressed its readiness to accept senior state officials, heads of local administration, and governors of the Republic of Kazakhstan for internships. On the other side, MBRSG will consider sending a delegation of UAE civil servants with working visits to the Academy.
At the end of the meetings, the Leadership of Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government was invited to the Annual Conference organized by the Academy on April 27-28, 2023.
