the film industry;
- characterize the specifics of the subject and determine the main trends in the
development of the film industry in modern culture;
- substantiate the need for the institution of social audit as a tool for assessing the
socio-cultural activities of the film industry;
- to analyze the current state of the domestic film industry, to identify the key
problems of the industry;
- comprehend the key aspects of state policy and priority areas in the film industry;
- reveal the prospects for the use of social audit in the management of the country's
film industry;
- develop guidelines for the systematic implementation of social audit in the film
industry.
The object of research is the place of the film industry in the management of the
cultural sphere of the state and the benefits for society.
The subject of the dissertation research is the use of social audit as a tool for
assessing the socio-cultural activities of the film industry.
Research hypothesis. The Social audit can be used in determining the socio-
cultural activities and social benefits of the film industry, in the public administration of
the film industry.
The theoretical basis of the dissertation is the theories and concepts of modern
public administration, the principles of good governance, the theoretical and
methodological concept of social audit, as well as the key ideas of sociological theories,
such as structural-functionalism, theory of social exchange, conflict theory, and
symbolic interactionism. In addition, the results of fundamental research and scientific
work of domestic and foreign scientists on the socio-cultural aspects of the film industry,
and the mechanisms of state support for the film industry were used.
Methodological basis of the study. To reveal the most important characteristics
of the film industry and the concept of social audit, the dissertation work provides for a
set of theoretical and applied research methods: to define the concept of social audit,
methods of concretization and abstraction were used; using the tools of SWOT analysis,
PEST analysis, the current state of the film industry and the main trends, development
opportunities and risks, influencing factors were analyzed. In order to provide
information on the implementation of film screenings in Kazakhstan, an analysis of
statistical data was carried out. A content analysis of the opinions of experts and
comments of citizens on the situation and current problems of the Kazakhstani film
industry, published in the media and social networks, was carried out. A discursive
analysis was carried out using a historical approach to the representation of state policy
ideas in films shot in Kazakhstan over the past 30 years.
The information base of the study consists of regulatory legal acts in the field
of cinematography, state program documents, articles by domestic and foreign authors
in scientific publications and Internet resources, video materials, modern Kazakhstani
films, comments, official statistics of film screenings, sociological data, information
from official websites of authorized state bodies and organizations in the field of
cinematography.
