The starting point in the study of the sustainable development of the system
was taken from the scientific works of Håkansson H., which contain a significant
layer of empirical research that can become a reference for work. These were
supplemented by the most recent studies in the literature, based on empirical
methods, which allowed them to test and develop their findings. The main ones are
the methodology used in the works of Carley M. and Christie I. Subsequent
econometric estimates will follow a similar approach. The methodology of the
conducted research is based on methods from the logical group (generalization,
analysis and synthesis, comparison and correlation, abstraction method, SADT
methodology, observation method, decomposition method, empirical research
method).
The analysis of the light industry development in the Republic of Kazakhstan
was carried out on the basis of the application of the method of analysis and
synthesis, related to heuristic methods. The basis for applying the provisions of this
methodology is analysis as a method of scientific research, which made it possible to
determine the role and place of light industry in the structure of the country’s
economy, decomposing the complex structure into its components. The main
provisions of this methodology are reflected in the works of Lawnson S. and Robert
H. These authors consider the system development sustainability from the position of
strategic capabilities of operations management, which is a new competitive
advantage in the current conditions.
The synthesis method, as opposed to analysis, made it possible to combine into
one whole data characterizing various aspects of the functioning of the light industry
on the market: the share of the total industry volume, data on imports and exports, as
well as measures to support the industry at the state level. Suzanne Lundström, in her
research, using the synthesis method, substantiated the interconnection and
interdependence of such elements of sustainable development of the system as
institutions, economic growth and the environment. By synthesizing these concepts
into a single whole, the author was able to derive patterns and codependencies within
the system, which allowed us to apply them in relation to developing the possibility
of sustainable development of light industry in Kazakhstan.
A study of the main provisions of the Report “Limits to Growth” for the project
of the Club of Rome on the Problems of Humanity, published back in 1974 by a
group of authors, allowed us to draw conclusions about the sustainability of the
current state of the industry, about the possibility of stabilizing the situation through
the development of a mechanism for the transition of light industry enterprises of the
Republic of Kazakhstan to the sustainable development model. As specific methods
of analysis, when studying the state of the light industry of the Republic of
Kazakhstan at the moment, SADT (Structured Analysis and Design Technique –
SADT) was used. This technique, the provisions of which are disclosed in the works,
made it possible to identify and construct a hierarchy in the system of diagrams from
a description of the general state of the industry to particular indicators of the volume
of imports and exports, as well as the volume of supplies of light industry to the
domestic market. At that, a description of the system as a whole and its interaction
with the domestic market (context diagram) was first made, after which a functional
