3. Multilateral diplomacy in the era of globalization

Short course description:
The purpose of the course is to study international legal acts regulating the activities of
international organizations; determining the place and role of international organizations in
ensuring peace and security, revealing the features of multilateral and collective diplomacy.
Show the role and place of multilateral institutions in regulating world political and world
economic relations.
Expected learning outcomes:
Have comprehensive knowledge of international organizations; know the main stages of
creating an international organization; navigate the international legal acts regulating the
activities of international organizations; be able to interpret the problems of international
organizations, international conferences, problems of peaceful resolution of international
disputes.
4. The foreign policy of global Powers

Short course description:
The purpose of this course is to gain knowledge about the mechanism of functioning of
international relations of global powers, to study the civilizational specifics of these countries
and foreign policy priorities. The main direction of the course is foreign policy courses, foreign
policy priorities of global powers, a comprehensive understanding of the traditional basis and
specifics of political culture, conditions and prospects for integration into the global space;
analysis of the evolution of bilateral and multilateral relations between the largest states of the
world.
Expected learning outcomes:
Have an idea of the main directions of the foreign policy of the leading superpowers, the main
factors and the process of formation of the foreign policy of global powers, its key directions.
5. The Middle East in the system of international relations

Semester 4 (Spring semester)
Short course description:
Research and analysis of the domestic and foreign policies of the countries of the Near and
Middle East at the present stage; Study of the current state and main stages of development
of politics and economics in the countries of the Near and Middle East; Consideration of the
dynamics of development of bilateral relations between the countries of the Near and Middle
East, identification of general trends and individual features, as well as forecasting the situation
in the region; Study of the “Islamic factor” in the countries of the Near and Middle East.
Expected learning outcomes:
Know the current geopolitical state of the countries in the region; features of the socio-political
structure and dynamics of political processes in the Near and Middle East; know how to
navigate the economic, environmental, demographic, and migration processes occurring in the
East; are able to analyze global and regional security problems in relation to regions; know the
key problems of modern international and regional relations in the East; have the skills to
analyze socially significant problems and processes.
